Maple brown sugar and cinnamon syrup

maple brown sugar cinnamon syrup

This syrup is great for pancakes and waffles, adding a bit of spice. Combine it with carbonated water and you get a unique soda pop! It is very easy to make, and it can stretch out pricey pure maple syrup with out giving up on flavor.

Ingredients!

1/2 cup water
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup pure maple syrup(hopefully from a sugar shack)
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
A very clean heat proof jar to store it in. I rinse my jars out with vinegar or vodka to make sure there are no contaminants.

Directions!

In a small pot. Put in all the ingredients  then place on the stove top on medium high. Stir while heating to break up the cinnamon. Once it has come to a boil and all the brown sugar is dissolved, put it right into heat proof jar. Wait until it comes to room temperature before putting on the lid and storing in the refrigerator. It will last up to 2 months! Enjoy.
