All about sincerely yours

Vee Tubbs

Hello there! I hope you find this day as lovely as I do.

My name is Miss Vee and I love tea. “Okay enough with the rhyming, no one wants to hear that.” Introductions! You should know, what I really love, is my family, God, history, art, and putting absolutely great food on the table. Great food comes from making or growing it myself. I am passionate about people, travel, and learning new things. I truly enjoy vintage and Victorian era things.

I grew up on what most people would call a farm, but I just called it home. Now I live on the east coast I, and I dragged all my roots with me. Now that I and my little ones have a place where we can grow, the opportunities are endless. Just like after a rain storm a seed will shoot up, we’ll break out and grow. I will face the sun and proudly say: “I am here shine down on me!” Time will tell if I will get a sun burn or not.

I hope for you to come with me on this adventure!

I hope you seeing me gaining control of my life will give you the courage to control yours! I want you to have the freedom and the know-how to be able to live the life you and your family deserve. I want to inspire you to try something new in the kitchen, plant something just to watch it grow, and to get outside and remake your world! I plan to inspire you to create the best you, take it into your town, and to inspire others. Finally I want to hear from you, and use your experiences to inspire me to do more and better!

A little more background about me

I was a pastry chef for several years before I moved to the east coast. I created recipes all the time, and my husband’s belly can tell you about my stress baking. Believe it or not, it’s genetic! I also lived in Ireland for a time during my rebellious stage, working at a bed and breakfast, and then a sheep farm. While I was there I fell in love with mead and finally understood how putting an (English) custard on a dessert could be just as delicious as freshly whipped cream.

I love living on the east coast for their health care, awesome autumns, and history. I have seen old cook books from the 1700’s, and garden plans from the colonial area. Things like that literally let me taste the past! It is so much fun to try old recipes, it lets you in on the culture and the mind set of the times. It also sometimes reminds me why I like living in this era.

I am Lithuanian and German by descent. So I not only work hard like the Germans, I also love to party hard like the Lithuanians. “Oh America, the great stew of the world. Mmm stew…” Both of my family lines have farmers in the past, so I guess it is no wonder that after I moved into my first house it was a big priority to break ground on my first garden. I will be modifying my land bit by bit to make it yield as much as possible over the next couple of years. I will be as organic as possible, using as few pesticides and as many natural deterrents as I can. Mostly this is lazy, having to run inside to wash off sun ripened strawberries is way to much work! “I could just eat it right now! My kids can pick it up off the ground and eat it now! Let’s do it!” Also I hate spending money where is it not needed. I don’t want to worry about the food I grow being bad for you, I’ve got too much else to worry about. I don’t have time for that crap. Who does? Less is more for me.

If you have all your life in order, then I am not the gal for you. But if you want to make your life better, with great recipes, starting a garden, or taking up a cause you are passionate about: Then stay tuned, we are going to have a great life together! We’ll be learning and teaching with one another.

So that is me in a nut shell! But the key point I want to get across is this: I am here as a resource and source of inspiration. I am here as help you to make your life amazing on your terms. If you want to grow a garden or scale a mountain, I am here with hope and ideas for all.
