Brown Sugar Oat Bread

I’m excited to share this one with you! I call it a sandwich bread because it has great structure, but really it can be any kind of bread you need. You need french toast, bread pudding, or a grilled cheese? This one does it all! It has a sweetness from the brown sugar, just a hint, which is great friends with the oats in the mix.

It is a loaf to make on a Sunday, and lasts a few days even with my family of 4 because it is so hearty. Not bad for one loaf of bread! A big bonus is that it is healthier and cheaper than the same quality bread you could buy at the store. Enjoy and make it for your loved ones!

Orange Beer Bread

I don’t like beer, it is not my favorite. I know, many of you think that’s sad. I really tried hard to like it. But alas, for me, those hop filled amber drinks will have to go to my husband. A lot of times  times we have a party and one of the great things about my friends is that they will leave some of the drinks they come with, like a nice bottle of wine, or a liter of a artisan soda-pop, or some homemade lemonade. Which is great! But when playing drink roulette I find myself looking at a few bottles of beer in the fridge I won’t drink, and they’re not the ones that my husband likes. So instead of wasting, I love to put them in soups, cakes, and breads.

Very easy zucchini biscuits. Why not make these you have plenty of zucchini anyway.

In my mom’s garden, we always got plenty of zucchini each summer. Turns out my garden does the same thing. That fresh zucchini flavor brightens up these biscuits, and adds moisture, keeping them from drying out. If you didn’t grow your own this year, stop by your local farm stand, and then enjoy these zucchini biscuits with friends and family.
