Make your own chocolate syrup. Because you know you want to.

love chocolate

It’s better tasting than the store bought stuff, and is better for you. If your kids and partner love chocolate like mine do, you might want to make a big batch of this stuff. It is great in coffee, milk, or over ice cream. My husband uses it on pancakes sometimes. It’s SO much better than

Ingredients!

24 oz of water.
2 lbs of brown sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1 teaspoon salt
1tablespoon instant coffee
2 cups of coco powder
Jars well cleaned, and rinsed with vodka or vinegar. (I use old honey bottles and sometime salad dressing bottles.)

Directions!

In a large heavy bottom pot: Put in the water, sugar, salt, corn syrup, and instant coffee. Bring to a rolling boil. Then, while whisking the water slowly, add the coco powder. Once fully integrated, let it boil for 2 minutes, and turn off the heat!

Very important!: If you are using plastic bottles, wait until it cools to room temperature before pouring it in. If using glass you can pour it in right away then let it come down to room temperature before storing in the fridge. Once in the fridge, it can last for 2 months, but mine never makes it that long.
