My First egg!!!

Whee! My chickens are laying and I got my first egg! I have been looking for them for 2 weeks or so, and just today I have gotten my first pullet egg!

A pullet egg is much smaller than a normal egg. The first ones are small, because the chickens body has to get used to it and make sure it dosen’t tear them a new one. I am so happy! This one small little egg is the BEST! Even though some of my garden went to pot, the fact I could get an egg from a chicken made me happy. I didn’t kill them or screw up!

I raised them from a chick to a full adult. Sure there is room for improvement, but i did it, which feels awesome! I have a harvest party I am going to this weekend, and am going to bring some of the pullet eggs for the host. Super classy I think! Technically it is a harvest in some way. The hostess of the party always wanted chickens but lives in no livestock town, so can’t. I will share my joy with her!

I think they will be a hit. Kind of feel like a pusher of something. You know the type. The first one is free, haha, wink wink, nudge nudge. So all together I consider that to be my Victory for the day! What’s yours?
